Maserati has at long last made its most eagerly awaited vehicle official. GranTurismo is Maserati’s most potent production to date, though Grecale holds the distinction of being the brand’s first electric vehicle.
Three 300kW electric motors, two at the back and one at the front, and a 92.5kWh battery are included with the GranTurismo Folgore. The car could theoretically produce 900kW of power, but electric drivetrains are more complicated. GranTurismo can continually utilise 560kW (760hp) of the battery discharge capacity, which is enough to claim the title of most powerful Maserati.
Battery Design Of GranTurismo
Maserati spent a lot of time creating the new battery pack for the GranTurismo. It has the dubbed “T-bone” shape and fits in the tunnel between the seats rather than being installed beneath the floor. As a result, the car’s height was kept low at 1,353 mm. A perfect 50-50 weight distribution was achieved by keeping the centre of gravity low and in the vehicle’s center.
With a top speed of 198 mph or 320 km/h, GranTurismo Folgore joins the fastest Maseratis ever produced group. In under 2.7 seconds, the race from 0 to 100 km/h was completed.
The wheels on the car are staggered, measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches in back. Folgore may be identified from a distance by its distinctive aerodynamic wheels and copper-colored insignia. The Cd of the vehicle is said to increase by 7% thanks to those wheels compared to gas-powered models.
The brake callipers are available in seven colours, with the automobile initially coming in six. Customers who want more customizations can.
Versions of GranTurismo
The Nettuno V6 engine is also used in two GranTurismo models that are fuelled by gasoline. The Folgore is by far the most fun version of all three due to the engine’s 489 horsepower in the Modena trim and 550 horsepower in the Trofeo trim.
A one-piece hood (bonnet) that completely encircles the car’s sides and creates wheel arches is an intriguing option. The construction is made simpler and requires fewer components, but the expense of repairs in the event of an accident is increased.
The classic clock from Maserati is now digital for the first time. The design is still timeless, but the shoes are much more modern. Maserati Intelligent Assistant, which unifies all of the displays and HUD to provide a comfortable environment for the occupants, powers the multimedia system. Sonus Faber provided the 19 3D sound speakers and 1,195W of electricity for the in-car audio system.
The limited-edition PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary Launch Edition with Nettuno engines will be the first GranTurismo models to go on sale and will be available in 2019.
The Folgore will go on sale next, although Maserati has not yet provided a release date or a price range. The GranCabrio will, however, be offered in the electric Folgore trim, the business has confirmed.
Maserati with 760 horsepower and a respectable 92kWh battery for at least 350 kilometres of pleasure. Maserati, however, is the first of the established supercar manufacturers to commit to an electric drivetrain and make the car’s electric version the quickest in the lineup.
An electric GT from Italy with reasonable performance and classic styling. We can be confident that its exclusivity will be reflected in the price. Grecale and GranTurismo, two electric Maseratis, are now included in the perfect automobile garage.
